This morning Coco described something as smelling like “a filthy sock filled with poop”.
It’s definitely an image.
Tonight I bought Coco a copy of one of my favorite kid books, A Kiss for Little Bear. It is an “I Can Read” book. I gave it to her and asked her to read a little bit to me and SHE DID!!!!
The two of us were giggling like crazy. She was very excited each time she read a word that she didn’t have to sound out and would bellow, “I didn’t even sound it out!”
Merry Christmas to me….my daughter is learning to read!
Evidently, Coco told her teacher recently that she was discouraged. I learned this at last week’s parent teacher conference.
“What does discouraged mean, Coco?” her teacher asked.
“When you just don’t get it,” Coco replied, hanging her head.
Yesterday afternoon, Coco walked into the room with a bowl of cheddarpuffs. She told us she had seen the bag on the counter, opened it up, popped one in her mouth and said, “cheddarpuff divine.”
